Omg, I worked in a local slaughter house cleaning at night and it was a move up from McDonalds at 16. They did like 80-90 on a good day. I can't imagine. Yes I was the clean up kid. Paid well, but prolly close to the mop boy at the peep booths.

I'm certainly not saying freight isn't slow. However since he took office in 2016, I can count on one hand how many days we've been slow. We've had this contract since 2013, and those first three years were hit or miss.

We were haulin last yr down in wv. We had pilot cars that would run ahead and make oncoming traffic pull over. even the times we had cop escorts they would say just do what ya have to. Some of those skinny roads were TIGHT !!

When we had the butcher shop in town it most we ever did was 10 in a day from 2 guys but our entire process was manual.

The local chicken plants process around a million birds a day so a very large automated or semi automated state of the art facility I could definitely see it.

At least once a week, sometimes twice, for the last six years we've taken a truckload to Hillshire Farms. They process about 10 loads of hogs a day. Without fail, they have new employee orientation each week. Security says about 70-80% don't last a few days, haha.

I know that the "big" packing plants say they do 6K a day, that plant don't seem that big?

A million birds a day, dang, I am a steak and potato guy myself!

I only cleaned, to young for the kill floor, didn't know how to butcher. But man I was making 7.15 a hour and going places. I think minimum wage was only 4.75, 5.25 maybe. You hang with me kid you will wear pineapples as big as diamonds.
