You know what? As long as they get away from Mack trucks, anything else would be superior. Those are the most uncomfortable trucks I have ever driven in my life.

"Oh, you're tall? Well rather than being able to slide the seat cushion forward to support your upper legs and butt, we'll let you tilt the front of the seat up in the most uncomfortable way imaginable! There's support for you!"

Most UPS trucks out here (west) are KW and some years back they also went to twin screws in any areas where snow and mountain passes were part of their routes. This shift from single screws came about primarily because of difficulties and accident rates UPS experienced in Calif. crossing Donner (I-80) during the winter.

Spoken like someone who has never driven a newer International LT daycab. They suck so bad, and I’m just 6’ tall. You sit vertical, can lean away at all, tilt steering wheel sucks. Cab must have concrete blocks for suspension, mirrors suck. I don’t know anyone who likes them.

at every job i ever had, i had a twin screw, except when i first started at NEMF.. and as a line haul driver, we would be unable to haul heavier loads...then one day the high commanders figured that the LONG 48 doubles were not the only twin screws that were needed.

For whatever reason, the internationals we were getting for a while there were pretty nice. I don't know what their newer trucks are like, though.

I was driving on i80 one time outside of Walcott. A yellow Volvo blew the doors off me at like 2 am. I was doing 75 he must have been doing 90. I couldn’t keep up and my truck would do 85.

Lol it was hilarious. That ratty Volvo was fast as hell.

We started going to twin screw trucks on the east coast because of being too heavy on the drives. Only took a million years but they finally started getting some lol.
