    Recently my cousin made me aware of a YouTube Trucker that couldn't get on at a Crete because of PTSD (Truckers Coach). Or at least that's what was told to the public after watching the video.

    My question is how many of you truckers have PTSD. And how does it effect your employment? Do you just keep quiet about it. Or are the office people understanding the situation?

    There are alot of companies out here advertising that they hire Veterans. Or that they are Veteran friendly. And I'm pretty sure there's some kick back money involved to do so. But to deny a driver over PTSD isn't cool in ny opinion.

    During the Vietnam era, veterans came home and couldn't gain employment. Or to be constantly rode at work for B/S. But when they couldn't take it any more, and retaliated they were called crazy ( going postal). Fast forward to the Iraq or ghanny vets and it's sort of the same. But other situations with Vets shouldn't make ppl think we all are going to kill someone or multiple ppl. Every vet is different and handles flashbacks differently.

    It's all make believe.
    But if it were true I would shutter Everytime I was told to go east of Ohio on free roads.The Appalachian mountains are more insane that the Rockies.
    And who does not love sitting in traffic for hours not getting paid to make that express delivery.
    No the ELD does not make the driver do anything. But if you can't work with the thing you will be going broke with little mile pay. And if your not paid for layover on a slow weekend just relax and learn to like being poor.
    If you see a bunch of trucks a year overturned , or jacknifed, or burnt, just remember they were idiots, and that will never happen to me.
    The fun part of my average day is trying to pass UPS, or FedEx , or Most other Named trucks because almost 95 percent of trucks are set to 66-70mph.

    PTSD why would truckers have to worry about that non sense?

    Some drivers are recent war vets. And are taking anti depressants to be able to function. All though the meds are ok with dot some drivers are either loosing there job or being denied a job once its disclosed that that have PTSD and or are on meds for it

    I thought truckers coach had everything trucking figured out? Like KR? Why would he want to drive for Crete?

    You're not a vet, are you? I can assure you PTSD is very real and almost every combat vet suffers from it to one degree or another.
    Some of the affects are minor but there are some that totally debilitate the person involved.
    War changes people and combat changes them in ways that they themselves often don't recognize.
    It's a mistake to deny that PTSD is real.
    Some people can get on with their lives after the military but others can't.

    Story sounds like we're missing something vital. I started driving within a year of getting out of the military. No one ever asked if I had PTSD. Now my guess would be he's on some heavy meds that showed up on a ten panel and instead of saying, my doctor prescribed it for my depression, anxiety, or because I'm premature he went through the entire story
