Hmmm... I've read this thread today and I followed the link provided by the OP.

I am going to order a copy of my DAC/ISIS/HireRight (as of 3/10/2009 per an update on the PDF file)

I'm interested to see what it says. I haven't driven a truck for hire since 84. But it seems that other industries may use it.

I'll keep y'all posted if that is the case.

we all should check up more on the laws. cuz if i remember right. the govt passed something few years back saying that a previous employer can't bad mouth you. the idea was to keep people working. not living in a homeless shelter. and in todays economy, the govt is really trying to get people back to work.

i would like to know what private firm it was that started this whole dac thing in the first place. i bet they are making a killing off bad reports that keep people from working elsewhere.

there are disgruntled employees everywhere, that quit there jobs. but the only ones that pay the price are truckers. and i most certainly recall when i went to school that dac information is PERMANENT.

Ok here's the deal. Here's an example let's say i worked for Swift and jb hunt bought swift. Now my dac says I worked for "jb hunt", and not eligible forre hire. The recruiter for "jb hunt ",worked for "swift"and I have an email from him saying it was "Swift's" policy to put "not eligible for rehire on everyone...even though they rehired me and others as well. Unfortunately "Swift" is no longer in business (under this current example). So 1 I never worked for "Jbhunt", and since "jbhunt" bought "swift " my dac says "jbhunt". That's farse, but the company used as an example won't change it,saying it's unethical. I submitted copy of email to hireright.JB HUNT AND SWIFT WERE EXAMPLES ONLY.

Second one is "billy Bob's trucking" who has changed names more than twice, hired me twice. Now they have no eligible for rehire and personal contact requested. But won't respond to inquiries from perspective employers. They waited over a month to report to DAC and exactly like 4 days after the date on my letter from DOT saying they were starting an investigation.....so I filed with DOL/OSHA that they retaliated against me for reporting them for trying to make violate hours of service laws. Also have letter from DOT as evidence. It's soo close I don't thinkthey could even say it was coincidence, plus they rehired me.

I see a place to click on "customer," no place for consumer.
