    You know what I like RAC for, repo and cash money. Gave 550 bucks for a like new whirlpool front loader set about 12 years ago delivered. Time for a new set.

    7018 needs clean steel (mill scale, rust, paint, etc. flap disked or wire wheeled off). For something that thin, 3/32" 7018 about 90 amps, and adjust from there.
    7018 rule of thumb is 1 amp per rod diameter size and adjust from there. Based on that theory, 1/8" (.125 diameter) rod would be 125 amps. 3/32" (.093 diameter) rod would be 93 amps.
    Excessive spatter is generally an indication of too long of an arc.

    I've only ever done that once waiting to get loaded. Reason being is I pulled in and followed the signs to "shipping" a guy on a forklift pointed me towards where to line up and that's where I went. Never saw a shipping office or anything of the like, they forklift guy was coming up to other trucks and directing them where to go. I'd been in yards that worked that way and was never any of the wiser that this place was different. The customer called and #####ed me out that I was there yet etc etc etc. I said lady I've been here for 4 hours, 2 of which were before my appointment. If I was supposed to come in you need a sign and tell your fork lift driver to not direct people to places they shouldn't be going to.

    I’m sure glad you’re here. Thanks buddy.

    I cut it back apart and re-welded it with 6013 and got it lookin better, but I sure need to work on my crooked lines.

    They weren't. The driver had just left Chicago after this trailer went through their shop. Ironically, they are also a trailer repair shop. o_O
    All 3 axles had been recently replaced along with the U-bolts and U-bolt plates. No lock washers or top lock nuts on any of them, except for the 2 I replaced, they got lock washers.

    Notice the grinder marks beside the spring perch? They ground all the perches off and moved them out to mount these axles.

    It's been out there for an hour or so. Line is still full of fuel. I reckon I'll let it set overnight and see how it looks in the am
