I’m not superstitious. Odd habits, pulling the hand(trailer)brake to make sure the fifth wheel is locked everytime I release my brakes, looking under the truck for leaks(fluids) and thumping all the tires when I’m outside the truck regardless if I did it few minutes earlier.

I always light a cigarette right before I get off the interstate to get fuel. Can't figure out why that happens....I also light one before I back in a spot

    When I pre/post-trip, I HAVE to "thump" the steers......I don't feel right if I don't.

I check the fifth wheel pin every time I've been out of sight of the truck.

Same as me refusing to pull doubles.

ONE BIG EXCEPTION. Fly me to the land of OZ (Australia) and give me a blown 3406 Kitty Cat and 4 loaded trailers michigan style with a 5th wheel behind each one. to hook the next one. Grosses approximately 600,000 USA pounds. And I would need a fine .45-0.70 rifle Probably a Henry and a living ACOG Scope with the 45 degree notched sights when your opponet or bengal tiger is too close to use ACOG.

as soon as I get settled on the interstate, into high gear, cruise set, I double check my headlights are on, turn signals cancelled, doors locked, mirrors adjusted, BOL & clipboard in the door pocket, etc.

In the last mile before my exit I double check my doors are locked, lights are on, mirrors adjusted, etc.

x1Heavy, ChevyCam and homeskillet Thank this.

I have never thumped the steers in my life. Always get them with the gauge
