The summary seems reasonable. But, then each of the past changes sounded good before we started using them.
Changing HOS doesn't solve problems. It only trades today's set of problems (the ones we have learned to live/deal with) for the set of problems created by the new rules. At no time in the past were drivers sitting around saying "I'm so glad we have today's rules" yet every one of us thinks some set of past rules would be SOOOO much better than today's rules.
What's your thoughts on new possible service hours

I don't see a problem, not everybody runs and parks on the same schedule.
Can you give me one example of how having the ability to stop the clock is a bad thing, or how it would confuse you because you are used to the way it is now.
Nobody says you have to stop or how long you stay stopped, I see it as it gives a driver to stay safe, when something is up and he needs a break, he can legally take it now, if it isn't anything but taking a coffee break. Much safer than what we have now, it doesn't affect me, we run a whole different set of hos, and I still run paper, so can and do take breaks when needed.mhyn, doc43204 and Truckermania Thank this. -
Harder to get in and out for fuel when everyone is taking 30 minutes to fuel. Cross most Love's off the list.

I don't have to deal with that 30 minute break either, and glad of it. -

Would be better if they include NOT TAKING YOUR 30 MIN BREAK ON FREAKIN FUEL ISLAND!!!!
mhyn Thanks this. -
That is or will be a driver problem, not an hos problem, but actually makes sense. I have never timed it, but especially if you have to wait on someone to pull up, then pull up and fuel, wash windows then pull up and take care of the bill. I bet 30 minutes is about right.
Truckermania Thanks this. -
Jwhis Thanks this.

Helps us out by extending the 100 air mile exemption to 14 consecutive hours instead of 12 and expanding the 100 air miles to 150 air miles...
Truckermania Thanks this.
