    My truck feels like it is stuck in 6th gear no matter if it's in reverse or forward. The transmission had not slipped or anything. Does this sound like the transmission or the motor that controls the clutch?

    The transmission communicates with the engine for the best shift strategy, but ultimately the trans controls that. The transmission is pretty picky when something isn't right and sets a code pretty easily on those.
