Looking for suggestions....

That's a common syndrome in life, especially when you hold conversations with other people. I typically make changes when my hand is forced. If you're happy where you are, why leave? Often times I have the same syndrome, I'll go to work for a company and consider a change but then when I think about it, it's not bad enough for me to leave. If your job does what it needs for you to do in terms of paying bills and or job satisfaction, stay. My mom is always telling me, "Its better the devil you know."

 

Move on man you got that itch just like i had. Your qualified and have the experience to get on with a company that pays way more than those swift wages your earning.

Do your RESEARCH and move on, the grass is definitely greener. Do your homework tho as in know exactly where your getting into

 

Something to think about, if a guy is happy where he is at, and making a living without struggling, and somebody offers him a a much better deal or sounding deal, even if it really is,it just takes one prick in the right position to make it a miserable place to work. I don't know how many people I have known jump ship for their dream job just to find themselves looking for a job a month or so later.

 

Agreed, thats why i emphasized he do his research to know exactly what hes getting into.

 

Before you heard other drivers talking, were you and your family happy and satisfied?

 

are you greedy or are you living comfortably in your means??
do you want to jump ship and start at the bottom of the barrel with another company have to work your way through the ranks??
hopefully get insurance hopefully not get the crap end of the stick??
are you barely making it by on pennies each week take it home 750 to a grand?
you got like a ridiculous mortgage you can't make ends meet...
think about that before you jump ship are you treated like a dirtbag do you feel like a number and not a name did they treat you good..
way way back in the day there was a saying called "ride for the brand" a lot reason why people been with companies for 10 20 30 plus years
since 2010 it doesn't really apply too much but some people remember what it meant..
just think long and hard you might make more money but you may not like the way you're treated then you become known as a habitual job Hopper..
and the only doors that open up are places that will treat you like a piece of crap

 

I did it. Got a offer to be a welder in a race car fab shop....dream job. A year later and I'm back to driving a truck, it took me not doing it to realize how much I like it.

 

From what I’ve seen, most trucking jobs end up paying about the same if you look at it as dollars per hour. If you want more dollars, you gotta spend more hours, whether driving or sleeping in a sleeper.

If I didn’t need to make more money, I don’t think I’d be OTR.
