First time here......... wished I would have researched more.......
attended CR England...... ran into the same "good oleboy" attitudes..... thats alright though I was raised to turn away all that and make it work for me...... Did great at school and driving came easy for me........got through 2months of OTR training......
Get to the chase I was in an accident that resulted in 15,000 damages
I was ultimately responsible but my partner was supposed to be spotting me........he was on his cell phone again........I was discharged and he got a slap on the wrist. It has been almost 6 months and CR England has a report on my file unhireable. I have applied to dozens of Companies and realized it was a waste of time.

Do I wait and start over are there some companies willing to retrain you????
I love this work and love driving HELP!

You might try a small local company, there are plenty of those around. The pay won't be all that great. But if you can hang with them, you'll gain experience.

As a foot note: Having a co-driver spot you, then having said co-driver NOT spot you. Is still 100% your fault.

Any time you have to rely on someone who is distracted, you're putting your life and livelihood on the line.

And while it offends some people. I'm paranoid enough to stop and get out and look. I can make calculations/decisions more readily if I've seen the actual problem from the ground, firsthand.

Your best bet would be a small company that is local and gain some experience. The pay may not be great but go that route.

15,000 is a lot of damage.
I have seen people hired by other companys after a accident or something bad on a dac.
The only problem is these companys are the ones that you don't want to work for.
Very hard lesson to learn, never trust anyone when backing.

Prime will train you in properly and on top of that they will feed you........Many friends from last fall went over to Prime and they will give you the training you need. England is making money off the school now and your $3-4000 Just the meals at school and waiting on a truck will break you. I planned ahead and was all right but you need money to get you through at least 2months.....
Be smart about this and dont make rash decisions.......Prime is in Springfield Ill and FFE is in Dallas. Prime also has a more generous leasing package that more of the money you earn goes to the driver....
Note after you start at England and sign those papers YOU OWE THE SCHOOL FOR THAT TUITION...... People in my class had little accidents on the course while practicing....... and they were done!!!! owing 3-4
grand..... The young instructors are great drivers but rotten teachers too young and tempermental.......

Im off to Prime in August see you there.......good luck

    Carl5242 Thanks this.

I spent 2 years at England and made it out just fine. However i was the minority. I have been working for small companies ever since and love every moment of it. No QC much more freedom. 15k is a big claim on and accident but ive seen worse. SLC couldnt word it better if your driving the truck your responsible for the backing trust no one get out and look as many time as it takes. No shame to keep your equip safe.
