Sir I have zero tattoos, but covered in scars. But wrenching on others or my equipment didnt come from drinking. Now did they come from other sheet while drinking. Yes sir they sure did. Except them 13 stape train tracks in my head. Sober and wrenching.

Hmmmm you might have a point here@

It's a calf that won't take to the mother cow for some reason, or mother died or abandoned it. You can bottle feed them with milk replacer to keep from losing them.

Very common for kids and ranch wives to drag one into the house and tend to it til it's strong enough to go back to the herd.
Or sometimes they'll keep it and it will end up being a 4H project or freezer beef. Or both.

Raised a few when I was a kid.

First one was named Wellington. Generic Hereford steer. Was sad to see him go... until the first bite that is.

Next two were a couple of Jersey's. For some reason or other, we never got around to getting them castrated. Went from being fun little doe eyed buggers into evil, murderous, ill tempered little doe eyed buggers.

They got out of their pasture one day after they'd evolved into s-heads. My mother tells me to go out and get them back in. She wasn't amused when I walked out of the front door with my SKS in hand.

Speaking of cows. Delivered a caustic blend to a kill plant today. Gotta love the cow pens to your left of non stop trucks bringing them in, and to your right is a conveyor throwing bones into an end dump.
