Suddenly Canada seems like the cheapest place on earth to live!
Those costs are absolutely outrageous!
Is this normal?

Not to pick on Canada. Everyone there has been fair to me over the years. -
On a really bad day a rookie driver with me clears $400 after taxes and I pay their medical to.
Most clear way more than 400 a day.
$350 a week why oh why oh why can any one make so little.
Who cares if things are slightly cheaper in the USA, when you work for almost free, it doesn't make sense. If not clearing in your pocket take home $2000 a week maybe its time to look at why, and make changes. Wages south of the 49th parallel suck, so say less than $1500 clear a week. Someone here could work 3 months a year, then take the other 9 months off to vacation and have a better lifestyle.
I really don't get it.
Maybe I should just chop all my employees wages by 70% and stop paying their medical to.
Maybe it is me who is wrong for paying a good wage so they can live a great lifestyle. No more driving a brand new pickup every 5 years, owning a nice boat, buying a house with only a 10 year mortgage, and taking rocking vacations while ordering in food any night they don't feel like cooking.
I seriously need to rethink my pay to these people lol
Wonder what they would say if tomorrow i said no more paid medical and you all now make $14 / hr loljust_sayin Thanks this. -

12 years ago I was paying $1250 a month for the family plan (me the wife and two kids)
Flash forward to today at almost 60 years old. Insurance for me alone, costs $1125 a month.
I could have down graded to a cheaper bronze plan, (less coverage higher deductable) Instead I listened to the wife. Said screw, I'm eligible and I earned it. Went and signed up for va coverage and now pay nothing.UturnGirl Thanks this. -
Why is he still doing an entry level job? -
-
Jb Hunt IS a entry level job!
Jb Hunt it is not ONLY an entry level job. -
I have been at JB for over 9 years. I will probably make around 85 grand this year because I really didn't want to work 6 days a week like I have in the past. Some accounts have horrible management but most are professional. In the northeast you can do just about anything, from OTR to local grocery to flatbed to intermodal. So please enlighten me mover man?????Lonesome Thanks this. -
To recap= mazel truck, said jb is a entry level company (and it is)
You said jb is Not a entry level company.
I said you needed to include the word ONLY.
as in Jb hunt is not ONLY a entry level company.
You might have been there for 9 years, and dont consider it to be a entry level company. But even if they dont train anymore it is still an entry lever starter company for hundreds perhaps thousands of other drivers.
That's good for you that things there are working out.Western flyer, UturnGirl and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
