This may thread may be about Soul man's and Texas best. But city market BBQ in Luling, TX has both of them beat by far!!!!!!!!!!! They dont have truck parking, but the is a spot near that can hold maybe 5 trucks. And you can walk down and get in line.

It says alot about a place if there is a long line of ppl outside everyday they are open!!!!

    RockinChair and tarmadilo Thank this.

Southerners don’t know how to barbecue.
You gotta go up north for the good stuff

Ate at Soulmans once ... Bad enough that I have no desire to ever try them again.

Texas Best ... Depends on the location. Can be crap to decent.

My favorite bbq place in Texas is probably about 400 miles away in Memphis.

Southerners grill meat and then drop it into a bowl of BigBQ sauce and sell it. Then you need a truck load of napkins to deal with the sauce .

I’m a transplanted northerner living in the south, and no self-respecting southerner would ever confuse grilling with smoking. It’s northerners who call grilling “barbecuing”.
