It is confirmed. Jjs truck stop is officialy paid parking! That used to be my go to place. It set up perfectly for my indiana to texas run but i will no longer be going there. 11$ to park no thank you. They are joining all the other stops along here on i30 with the stupid paid parking. Thanks jj its been real , but i will no longer be going there

The "big 5" used to waive the paid parking fee if you got fuel there. They still do that?

It may be in the fine print....

Yep 60 gallons or more free parking. Otherwise the entire lot is paid parking. Sucks because u could fit probably 400 trucks in there

You talk about a HUGE revenue swing- Even if 200 pay everyday 7 days a week..thats $15,400 per week $60,000 per month, With no extra investments....What a Deal!!!

It's probably because a lot of drivers park there but don't buy anything. They've got to pay the bills somehow.

Yeah but that dirt lot in the back has pot holes bigger than an entire school buss thats been blowed up. I wouldnt mind paying for parking at a real nice place, but i havent comw across a truck stop that i actually said to myself "u know what id definatly pay to park here" . i will take my business elsewhere.it just means all the other stops on i30 are gonna,be even more packed then they already were

Maybe they could. Asphalt thick enough for a truck to drive on, costs a mega-####-ton of money. When you're just scraping by with enough to make payroll, paving the lot (or even grading it for that matter) is out of the question.

Yeah....If Im going to Dallas or H-town, I always stop at jj's for a 10 outta chicago.

My Thinking is this- Some Top Notch business executive musta went in there and educated the owner in ways he never seen before, Stating things like "You have all this Land, and 30% of yfreight coming from the upper midwet will HAVE to stop here for the night, Your revenue will be thru the roof" And the owner 'Bought It'....And Now the end result.
