They will take on older trucks so long as they are clean, took care of and can run ELD.

Good outfit to work for. Especially if you've never been around hoppers or any other kind of bulk work.

Mine was about 1k a month, at 21 years old, never had a cdl before and not with a rosy driving record.

Not the guy you were asking, but my quote almost five years ago at age 24 was about $16k for a year with only one year of experience.

40 K, how old are you and what kind of ticket did you get?
Do a lot of research, insurance agents are all over the map these days, mine went nuts over a seat belt ticket, had to change it and now my log ruck still costs more than my road truck and everything that went with it used to cost. I wound up leasing out instead of running my own numbers, partly because of insurance costs, and I have had it since 99. lol

If you get your cdl ( meaning just got it ) and own authority same year .. and buy you a new truck and trailer and try and get insurance for a end dump as a new start up company it don’t matter the driving record it is hell of expensive

    ChevyCam Thanks this.
