Looking to haul Package Express in my bus cargo hold (like Greyhound Courier Express) and found this website: LTL Freight Broker , Cargo Van Jobs, Local Freight Broker.

Is that saying the load is 28,000 lb? Is there any place where I could get lesser loads, something that would fit in a bus within 150 lb? Would like to do a dedicated passenger run from Reno to Portland and Seattle. Can pick up freight beforehand so as to not waste passengers' time.

Kind of a neat idea, don't know if insurance would like it. Greyhound here in Canada used to pull tandem 12k (tandem 8 bolts so guessing at the 12k) box trailers. They effed off and don't go coast to coast anymore.

I just thought of something else if you like the trailer idea. Most light box trailers are homeowner grade at best. They are made as cheaply as possible, and you will be dealing with blown tires, lights not working, and wheels falling off if used commercially. The greyhound trailers looked to be built like a brick ####house. I would be careful putting freight under passengers as you have no idea what is in parcels. I bought lithium batteries online and they came airmail postnl from Holland in a plastic envelope completely unprotected from being crushed and catching fire.

Insurance doesn't care if I put parcel in the cargo hold, but they sure as heck don't want me pulling a trailer around. Greyhound Canada was trying to sell those trailers to me for dirt cheap. Doesn't seem like uship has anything though. Hazardous materials banned. Everything else is legal.

By the way, Courier Brokers says:
"*Disclaimer- Although we specialize in postings under 10,000 lbs. Postings with weight of 1 lb are not necessarily available for smaller vehicles. Please view Dely Type. The posted weight has yet to be determined."

So how come most of their loads seem to be over 10,000 lb? I can't carry anything more than 10,000 lb.

Bet the passengers will be thrilled while you sit at some shipper 5-6 hours waiting for the shipment to be ready.

The only way this will work is if you delivered
The packages at the same place you picked
Up or dropped off the people.
If you have to go any place to do that you'll
Never be able to keep a schedule moving
    The people on your route.

    You'll get stuck somewhere,by somebody
    Dealing with those packages.

    He's an idea for you.
Rent out the space to the passengers.
However you want to break it down in compartments
    Or the whole thing.
    That's up to you.

Let them move the packages for you.
When they get off of the bus they take everything.
    I'd try that route first.

I would put lock boxes down there and rent them
    To the passengers.
Nobody wants to leave anything of value on a bus.
And they get tired of lugging it all around every time the
Bus stops for a bathroom break.

Was going to pick up the shipment before picking up the passengers, and drop off the shipment afterwards.
