I'm just driving down the road, and randomly get the HOS warning exclamation point, so I stop and see this. Anyone know what this is about?

Did you move the truck at all without being logged in, or is it possible a mechanic or someone else moved it without logging in? That’s all I can figure.

I get them almost daily. Omnitracs says they have to reset the computer. Company tells me I have to do all the legwork to get the thing reset, or take it in to a mechanic. Screw 'em...the light goes off (sometimes) and it doesn't really interfere with drive line.

The first thing I checked was to make sure I wasn't logged out for some reason, and I wasn't. No one has moved the truck, and I haven't been in the shop. I had been driving for 3 hours when it randomly happened, and it stayed on all day. I'm not in violation or anything so I'm just gonna power cycle it and see if that clears it, and see if it comes back again. Everything seems good other than that one thing.

Log out ... let it go into shutdown then log back in....
.... clears that issue sometimes for me

Mine does that often ... it clears itself out after so many days

i quit even worrying about it

Omni is a low budget system

Been runnin with mone saying this almost a week now. Lile others say, looks like it lost comms with the truck for a min. Look at ur logs for the day in question, make sure its logging everything u drive now and if so I would roll with it till u feel like resetting whatever needs reset to fix this. It seems to be an ongoing issue bc it happened at last company also. Best of luck to ya.

That's nice. Get a load of mine... I'm just plain out of ####s to give. They don't wanna make sure the equipment they issue me works properly? Fine. I'm not losing any more sleep over it. Pic taken just now 20190909_002242.jpg

My QC in this truck has always had problems.
I had it replaced once, but the problems remain.
The touch screen locks up, or the buttons stop working, or it blue screens. Sometimes there are no connections and it can't find itself, and it goes crazy.

Often I have to cut the battery connection for ~5 minutes to make it reboot after it fully powers down. With the new software installed it gives those kinds of messages. It loses contact for an instant and gives red flags for the rest of the day. The next day it is fine, until it messes up again.

And they want to use these kinds of systems to run autonomous trucks, when one little glitch in communication can send them into a frizzy and have a hissy fit?
    Good luck with that.
Without perfect connections and communication those trucks will be plowing into everything on and off the road.
    Scary.
