24.5 Tires/ Van Trailer

That depends, low pro or tall rubber, and compared to what lopro 22.5 or tall 22.5's?

 

Well you’re only allowed to be 13’6” so get a measuring tape & figure it out.

You could also have a low cubic foot box. Smaller box bigger tires.

 

Standard trailer height with standard 22.5 tires is 13'2"

24 tires is basically 2 extra inches. 1 bottom and 1 top. So technically you're only raising the trailer 1 inch. From the bottom. The top would just be an extra inch closer to the trailer.

That's just the rim size though. Could be more or less depending on lo or hi pro tires.

I have not measured the difference in them, but iif you had tall rubber on the rear and it was level with the truck, it would actually raise the front of the trailer if you went down on the rear. maybe not even enough to be noticable, because from the tall 24.5, if you went to low pro 22.5 it couldn't be more that 3 inches , if that.

 

I thought 24 low-pro raised the total height 1” and 24 tall rubber was more like 2”? Compared to 22 low-pro I mean.

It shouldn’t make any big difference. You ain’t taking that baby through the Lincoln Tunnel anyway.

I would measure it to be 100 % sure, to many variables with ride height on trailer air bags, 5th wheel level etc ...
