Ive been around the trucking industry all my life... I'm gonna look to see if the industry is something i would be interested in... I think it would be interesting for me to drive a truck for a living

I think it could but maybe driving for someone else instead of buying a truck, just possibly might be a good way to find out. Also there are some restrictions as to where older trucks can go, at least as far as Cali is concerned... Just a thought.

I understand wanting to change careers, I have a FCC Class A with Radar endorsement that was grandfathered into a NABER and a HAM General Class, Worked for Motorola 79 thru the end of the 80's, from Installer to Repeater Tech, to General Manager of a Factory authorized Service Center, Then went out for a trip for with my Dad on my first Salinas to Hunt's Point, I was hooked. Went to DMV when we got back to Cali, that was in January of 1988, been driving ever since and loving or hating it ever since, does not seem to be a middle ground. Anyway I understand.

Man look I own a farm and there is no way anyone without a cdl is going to drive my truck off my property without a cdl and me riding with them a few times minimum before they go without me and I'm setting a speed limiter on the deck in the shop before you even get behind the wheel

Besides, what legitimate business owner is going to pay cash? Assuming that means "cash under the table" anyways.
