If you ever run and can't find a place to park if the tamarack is full going south the next exit hang a right and there is a little truck stop few people know about. Always a place to park there late.
Glad to be back...Maverick

Thank You...I'll try to remember that.
Next exit??? Is that Highway 19? -
-
OK... I travel 19 when going to I79, but I've never took 19 when heading south on 77 so I'm not sure which exit it is.

I'm broke down in Roanoke, VA...darn auto shift transmission, just when I was starting to like it.
I was pulling up a pretty good hill on I77 in WV, just before the VA state line and that thing downshifted so hard that it slung my Pepsi out of the cupholder. I was looking in the mirror to see what moron rear ended me...thats how violent it was. Thats not a good feeling with a 35,000 lb. steel coil on the trailer.
Made it on up the hill and down the other side, it upshifted fine but when it downshifted on the next hill I coulda swore it tore the driveshafts out...but it didn't.
I managed to get the rest area in VA so I wouldn't be on the side of the road. They towed it to the Freightliner shop in Roanoke so here I am, and I'm probably gonna be here for a few days.
On the upside, the motel has a pool, a bar, free buffet breakfast, free internet...and its being paid for by FleetNet. -
Whew hoo! Bar and a pool! That's what I'm talking about.

I'm just happy I wasn't in Richmond to break down...from there on north is just a bad place to be. Cant make any $$$ sitting in traffic.
