YES unless you pay your own cash. That is what we did in our time off bobtail. Carried enough in the wallet to fill the thing any time it needs it. I don't try to get that money back because it will breach the PC time off.

if you swipe a card at the pump. dont log duty until u hang it up. it wont show a transaction on the computer until the handle is hung up
tscottme Thanks this. -
i use to find the longest line at the fuel island. get in it and hit off duty. start my 30 minute lunch. by the time i started pumping fuel. i had about 5 minutes until 30 was over. once i hanged handle up. i hit on duty fueling. pulled truck up and got my fuel receipt and rode on. never held anyone up and never once broke the law. like in the paper log days. i would show atlanta on log. didnt matter if i didnt show 3 hours in traffic. there was never a change in city. its atlanta on both ends
GlobalFM001 and tscottme Thank this. -
not all time. only the time after the pump is shut off. your log and time on the comdata report will match 100

How much fuel? Just to replaced the fuel you used while on PC? why log it?
Putting in more fuel than what you used, and would be used for "buisness". that could be a problem.tscottme Thanks this. -
I fuel on PC all the time. But I’m also Ag exempt when I’m doing it.
Oxbow and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
Why pay fuel tax for idling on private property?
Oxbow Thanks this. -
If you bobtail and own the truck and pay for fuel it seems like personal.
Lite bug Thanks this. -
Please explain.

Yes this is one way that fueling while on PC is acceptable... I actually log the Fuel Stop as OFF DUTY and annotate it as Ag. Exempt.
How ever if you OWN the truck, are using it for truly PERSONAL use during your off time, and pay for your fuel on a PERSONAL credit card, check, or cash.... I feel that would be completely legal.... He'll evenbif you sont own the truck but have permission to use it for PERSONAL use I feel it would be legal.Lite bug Thanks this.
