It is just the insurance companies that do not, their may be different out of state insurance companies that would sell you insurance, the state would be satisfied.
Or you could change your garage address to another state and go with an mc # and irp plates.
Their has to be a better option than 40 grand. -
Listen for people just getting there cdl starting a company with new numbers end dump insurance is helluva expensive
-
New mc numbers are automatically high, so are new cdl holders ., but I know for a fact that insurance shopping can sometimes cut prices in half, especially if progressive is involved. I will sell my trucks or burn them before I deal with them again. There is a way around he new cdl I have used to hire a guy before too, but I am not mentioning it on here.
Zayah Thanks this. -

As somebody interested in hopper and end dump I find this thread relevant. I stop alot of end dump drivers at truck stops and ask them about getting into end dump.
They all start by saying that hardly anybody will hire you without end dump experience.
I then tell them well I have my own truck.
They proceed to tell me that without end dump experience I wont be able to get insured even with my own truck.
I have searched on bulk loads forums as well and honestly the information on getting into dry bulk as an o/o is limited in my findings. Maybe this post will shed some light on the topic for others. -
wore out Thanks this.
