Filled 11 tanks today and barely went 5 miles from the yard. 12 hours later I’m beat. The wife and babies headed to Cali today for a week. Gonna go down next Friday and see family.

    HA!

Well, he does, it's the goons at corporate that don't seem to care.

Some interesting times for me coming up ahead, I'm going to be taking over his job for a month while he's out for surgery/recovery.

    I’ll go out on a limb here...but...

It’s nice to see a company that will allow that sort of upward mobility. SPD is one of the few, actually it’s the only company, I’ve ever personally worked for where it’s rather easy for the bulk of the employees (drivers) to move onwards into office roles if they so wished.

Was it possible at Melton? Eh.

It’s a norm here at SPD. Catalina is just one of the many examples.

I know not all drivers wish to jump a desk, push paper, take on that office leadership sort of ordeal... and that’s just fine. But it’s nice to see companies offer that to guys who want it.

I personally don’t have that desire yet. But maybe someday... nice to know I won’t have to jump ship to have it offered to me, either.

What a warm, caring example of friendship that is. You're an example to all of us.
