It is good to have mobility if one wishes, for sure.

I have my irritations with where I'm at, some of which I've aired here in this thread. However, if I found it completely insufferable I wouldn't still be here. The biggest gripe I have right now is our Driver because I've had to spend so much time putting my duties aside to make sure he gets loads out and delivered in something that resembles "on time". We're a pretty small branch (six people, three of which are the sales team), so if one person isn't pulling their weight it causes an unwanted ripple in the pond.

Well, that and I'm not always convinced that I enjoy doing inside sales. It's fine when I'm interacting with our regular contractors, it's when I have to suffer "nose pickers" as we call them. I'm not always the best at faking a smile and putting forth that A-1 customer service when dealing with the clueless.

I also have the option of kicking the driver out of the truck and taking it over if I need to decompress. I have no qualms about "pulling rank" if there's a run that's an all day trip, especially to the coast.
