    I think every cable to the alternator, and starter is also stupid aluminum along with the main fuse panel cables.

    And where did you get your engineering degree?
    I lived next to one who said it was absolutely fine to have an aluminum main line. It just needs to be bigger. Have you never suffered from green wires?

    a 0 gauge aluminum wire conducts more power (@61%) than a 2 gauge copper wire. With less weight and less cost. Just saying

    I think it was engineers that thought aluminum frames were a good idea in the 70s. And I believe there is a reason ships never get aluminum wiring, only copper is used. No I am not an engineer. I believe in common sense.

    I think it's about money. Daimler will use all kind of #### on truck just to make it few cents cheaper..
