I'm new to trucking got one year flat bed and stepdeck experience aand recieved my cdl from an accredited school. Im looking to do something different maybe prefferebly dry van. Hometime and pay arent so much a priority to me as having some tree time at the end of my day for myself. My ideal job would be in a liveable truck governed close to 70 or better...running the same route every time drop and hook out and back or a circle something along those lines maybe only 2500 miles a week or less Enough to run 500 miles a day and have a good afternoon to exercise and have some me time. Is there any rwccomendations out there for something close to what im looking for. I have one speeding ticket less than 10 mph in the last 3 year's. No accidents. Steady work history. And i do have two felonys from 2009 and 2011 so there relatively old. Any help would do. Thank you.
Looking for something different.

You mind fingerprinting the load? Food or beverage will get you home everyday and generally hourly pay. Or you could line haul for one like I do and out every other night staying in a hotel.

I pulled reefer and dry van and I think you made the right choice picking van. Too many odd ball hours, overnite runs that mess with your sleep with reefer. You might find that after doing van for awhile you will will want to go back to flatbed. Flatbed bed, stepdeck is higher in the food chain then van or feefer in my humble opinion!

Where is your location?
Someone posted on here a few months ago that Flat Creek Transportation trucks run about 80 mph.

How about regional tanker
Alot of dedicated work/customers
Mainly day light deliveries.
Its much easier than flatbed and pays very well -
Might consider oil field? Probably hauling water. You’ll have to live part time away from home. But you make enough to cover it and more.
I loved OTR. Loved Reefer Madness. But admit it isn’t the healthiest. I’m just now, after two months, starting to get my legs back. Im working oil field. It definitely has
It’s problems. But the money and time off are both abundant.Awol Thanks this. -
