    Howdy,

Wondering if any drivers in this line of work could fill me in on their daily work schedule.
I am considering the switch and I'm going to call the manager of the account on Monday.

Not interested in teaming just home daily runs, and I know I'll be at the bottom of the totem pole.

Depends if you are going with a producer of the products or a customer of the producer.
I work for a cryo company and we start someone every 30 minutes, 24 hrs a day,7 days a week.
Everyone gets 2 consecutive days off.
Most contractors/customers of the manufacturer work m-f...mostly 1st and 2nd shifts.

I work for Ruan on an auto parts account now. They have an account with Airgas and haul tankers. I am curious of what a day( or night) would be like, how many hours...…. thanks for the reply.

Every operation will be different. Your best bet is to ask Ruan. I haul milk and Ruan used to have milk accounts at the plant I run out of and they ran differently than any other hauler here.

    SwervyMervyn99 Thanks this.

This position is with the company I currently work for, just different account.

Need to make a change and if I can make a move within my company and keep my current benefits that would be good.

    scythe08 Thanks this.

Got a lot of answers today. Pay is good, boss seems like a good guy, the other drivers sound helpful in your training, it's the same company I already work for so benefits are good.

They are getting new trucks and there are no cameras (yet) lol, the works days were ok, he was not sure what time I would start.

The only thing is the length of the day, 12-14 hours with two hours of getting to and from work may be a little bit too much.

Still gonna think about before I decide

They like us to maximize our hours too.
That commute would be a bear but we have guys an hour plus out, seriously cuts into your time off.

    scythe08 Thanks this.

Is the two hours each way or two hours total? Im in the same boat. Takes 45 minutes on a good day each way or 1.5 hours if theres traffic. After a 17 hour day, I've been temped to just sleep in my car lol
