Yup. Used to do the exact thing at the midway service plaza on the Pa Tpke. You put your toll ticket,which was a large card back then,in your shirt pocket. Everyone else did the same thing. That way we could all walk around looking at each others entrance interchange number. See one that would work,and introduce yourself!

The Razorback shuffle is real, the sweet tea pitcher is the key. I won't mention any names, but there is a guy who pulls a stretch flat that uses some trickery to avoid permits. He leaves the trailer unpinned and sends a midget dressed like James Brown to the scalehouse.

The midget distracts them and texts him the weight to see if he needs to open or close it. Zero tickets to date.
