No it did not kill the cruse control. It dose kill the automatic braking system, it dose put a check lite on the dash, the adaptive cruse control stopped working you know the one where you set it for 70 and the vehicle in front is doing 62 and it slows you down to stay behind it. But the normal cruse control works fine.
Changing the ECM sounds good but when the truck is still under warranty I don't think that will fly.

What did you unplug, if you don’t mind sharing? I’m in a 2020 579 peteerbilt
-
-
Could you tell me how to unplug it,
-
Right at the sensor on the bumper
-
My cruise stopped working kn my 2015 peter 579 paccar when I unplugged it....
-
Yup. Some of them are integrated to where you can't block it or disable it without losing cruise control. Some aren't.
-
On my Volvo it just stopped the auto braking system but my cruse still works. HummmmKB3MMX Thanks this.

I'm getting a warning light that my forward imager is obstructed and there is nothing in front of it... I think the camera on the top of the windshield has failed.
This is definitely an option I will never get on another truck unless it becomes mandatory and we are forced to have it... It sucks bad. -
I think the same mechanics that are willing to adjust other unmentionable settings would be willing to turn off the Bendix system as well.
Please keep us posted on what you find out.KB3MMX and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
