No a dealer is more of a buy your truck here and then go lease it onto someone or run your own numbers...

Swift is not a great company even for company drivers, so ask yourself if they dont even take care of their own drivers why would they take care of a lease op?...

Because there are people that can not save the money needed and just need the chance to become an owner operator. A L/P driver will stay with the company for the sake of owning their truck unlike the common jobhoping company driver. I was in that position, excellent credit but impossible to save 10K for rown payment. When took a job at May Trucking, l saw all these black trucks that had an L after the truck number. I talked to 8 of them. It turns out they all owned their trucks andchose to stay with the company. There was one guy who paid off his truck and went home and worked local. I completed 2 lease purchases myself. It ix not easy but you can do it if you run it like a business.

It's not like a business ... It is a business. 90% of the people leasing have no clue as to what a business is about.

Leased my truck from swift, then at end of lease i bought it through my own bank and got it off the swift lease. Was paying on the lease about 614 a week for the truck payment and now through my own bank its 1400 a month. You have to stay rolling and be smart with your money if you want to survive being owner op
