Just got back from a walk at the park and this truck was pulling in behind me. Probably at least 100'+ space available and pulled in straight, even with the curb. Then apparently decided to back up and put his trailer 2'+ out on the front and 1' or so on the back. So for the next bit, probably 25 minutes, I sat waiting to see what was what. But then I kept hearing the air release, like he is pulling the button and pushing it back right away, for basically the whole time. And the kicking up the revs a bit, and doing it again. Do you think he realized he might have a air leak and was checking? Never got out of the cab to check anything anyway, so he wouldn't have known unless it was severe enough to pull over and check why pressure was dropping. Thing is some local and LTL drivers take their 30 here during the week, and that's what I thought he was doing until I heard the air thing. Other thing is I've only driven air over hydrologic brakes, not full air, so I've never had a time when my air ever dropped below 80psi or so even in the most busy stop and go traffic. Do you think he had a brake problem (and figured he could make the drop not far away) or he shorted his 30. And when I decided to video it, he unfortunately decided to pull out, so....
What do you think is up with this?

That's what believes me to be he's just getting to the drop. Where I live, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Huntington, North Santa Ana, has seen a large surge of intermodel containers. This was,, I believe a 53' box trailer. Not the standard Vietnamese driver. And that's the thing, they're pulling those loads farther and farther out of the port to "save money", but just screw drivers if you've ever followed those threads.

Usually if I see something going on and then still have questions, I go ask the dude what's up...
Nobody here is going to be able to accurately answer your question.
For instance, maybe he was just inflating his blow up doll and needed to rev the engine to get the air pressure back up, maybe he's got an entire harem of those things in his truck and wanted to party.tinytim, 86scotty, HoneyBadger67 and 6 others Thank this. -

Why not just grow some balls and get out to ask if he needs a hand? If you really want to know.
FlaSwampRat, FoolsErrand, COBB2070 and 2 others Thank this. -
I sorry if I seem like a sour puss but just put the phone down and get out of the truck. The phone is not an appendage of your body.
Gumboslef9384, FlaSwampRat and COBB2070 Thank this.
