After running with the boy to get him in shape for boot camp, it’s a pretty good bet that if you ever see me running again it’s because something big, mean and scary is in hot pursuit

 

I had a similar.experience in the drive-thru of a local McD's earlier this spring. 2 order lanes funnel to 1 pay lane and this heifer starts screaming at another chick about cutting in line....after a couple minutes I'd had enough and told her to basically get a life and shut up. Wife wasn't too thrilled with my decision but for Pete's sake, it's a McD's in the middle of Kansas, we weren't in line for heart transplants.

 

Thanks CKE, I ain't wired for dealing with that sheet. I just imagine being a kid at that age. And a grandmother would have put shoe to them women's rears for talking like that till they spit leather for a week. What the heck is wrong with people.

 

Dont need to be the fastest, just not the slowest in a emergency.

 

I just want to say I appreciate you good fellows in here....I look forward to reading this thread and I sure hope @stwik, @Bear135 and @johndeere4020 get back to posting regularly again.

This is my ultimate goal (and kinda on my bucket list). Maybe not hit the whole thing solo right away but maybe enter as a team first.

Amodel good to you and good luck. I'd have to stop for 2 beers and pee riding a golf cart that far. Them years have passed.

 

Even if I went as part of a relay team I'm probably another year away from being ready. Probably 2 or 3 away at least from doing the whole thing solo.
