Beg to differ — F’ed up is the part of the story after about 4 months after the unforgettable night that you realize what the rest of your life is going to be about — not that I would know about such things — and it wasn’t a 57 — it was an 81 ImpalaLepton1, lovesthedrive and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

What is the most hours you have ever driven in a 24 hour period? I have no hos now so I'm just gonna keep running until I get tired. I'm like 13.5 in and still doing good, this is just like a long regular day so far.

About 18 hours driving in a single 24 hour period... Awake for 23 hours that day... Never, ever again.
Edit: here is a post I made awhile ago about that experience.
Years ago when I was hauling cattle I ran really hard and often outside of the HOS. One run in particular that W900L only stopped long enough to unload and reload 4 seperate times for 23 hours of straight running. Days later I was at home in bed dreaming, that run in my mind...
I dreamed that I was driving very tired late at night under load and fell asleep at the wheel, then I woke up in my dream as I was going off the road at speed, at that moment I woke up in real life with a death grip on my pillow and stomping the foot board of my bed. It took me a few minutes torealize it had been a dream and then calm down, and I couldn't go back to sleep. From that moment on I swore I would NEVER push myself like thatever again.
I still have that dream on occasion if I'm have had a very stressful day and/or am extremely exhausted. One of these days that dream will probably kill me by giving me a heart attack.
That first time I had it is by far the most terror and fear I have ever felt... It is not a pleasant feeling.Last edited: Aug 30, 2019
