Well let’s see if it was Wednesday I would have been going westbound and around Tallahassee around 0830 so that must have been a team from Dothan probably. Now you probably saw my partner in the afternoon time headed back Eastbound afternoon time. I don’t drive with my CB turned on. I only turn it on if i run into a traffic jam to see what’s going on other than I’m on the phone talking to family and friends. Or listening to news podcast or music. But my CB handle is the same as my nickname well I actually have two of them. In the military they called me Ghost. Outside of the military they called me Money Man. So pick your poison lol.

Well, yesterday and today were quite the headache. Didn't make my final delivery before the cutoff yesterday and found out just how unforgiving a single axle tractor without locking diff can be. Today I had a delivery to a customer that doesn't want anyone in the warehouse, so they open your door to unload and then fish your paperwork through a slit in the window. When I got to my next stop I discovered they'd left some of their freight on the trailer and took some of that stops freight. That ended up wasting about two hours to get it sorted and so I missed about 5 or 6 pickups that were scheduled for me. What a feeling having to call my TM and explain to him THAT situation. Good thing is when I came back to the offending consignee, they allowed me to suit-up safety gear and come into their warehouse to rectify the situation. It'd probably be in my best interest to double check when I leave the dock at places like that next time. Live and learn I guess. Overall, my first week on my own route I'd rate a success and it also came with a very steep learning curve. The majority of my time that is wasted is because I'm still learning each new stop and procedures. Especially the big factories. They have signs up all over the place and I'm finding that a lot of the time those instructions only apply to regular shipments and deliveries and that LTL guys have their own set of rules and system in those places. Some I were told about, some I wasn't. So I feel like an ### looking like the new guy but the LTL guys when I bump into them usher me through the system at some of those places. Regardless, I'm still enjoying myself- two decent paychecks and a three-day weekend coming up. Think I'll watch what this storm is gonna do and nurse my wounds. Might have a beverage or two and fire up the pit tomorrow.

There was NOTHING on the site for Dothan last night and yep, I see it listed now. Really appreciate the heads up.

I don't have time now, but I'll have to tell y'all a funny story in a few days.

Have a great weekend gentlemen. Another 3200 mile week and now I'm off for a week.

@Kstrong86 I hope the hurricane doesn't affect y'all too much.

Thanks all for the concern. Yea the hurricane is coming my way. Gonna bunker down like I’ve down with all the other ones. Nothing different. Just rolled in like around 0200. I-10 eastbound was horrible. Mobile had wrecks and Pensacola was horrible to according to my partner. But glad we made it back safe and sound. Now time to enjoy the weekend and watch the rain and winds. Y’all be safe and enjoy your weekend. @88 Alpha hope you apply for the position brother. Good luck.

Well we had Labor Day off. Cook some T-bone steaks for the the wife and I. We have today off. Storm hasn’t hit us yet. That’s on thing with this company. They don’t play around with safety. They way this storm is looking and moving we may have the whole week off that’s just my opinion from a company man stand point. Me personally I think Tuesday Wednesday we would be off and back to work Thursday if there is not too much damage and power is not wiped out.
