I understand COMPLETELY. Often we drove tractor trailers for Halliburton. When moving a fracking crew that means about a dozen combinations are north of 100,000 lbs. All of Halliburton trucks are powered by a 350 up Cummins or Detroit. That's it. 350 frigging hp to pull up to 110,000 lbs gross weight.

Consider Colorado, with their fetish to keep you on two lane roads. Those roads feature some steep 6% plus grades. You might have a 70 mph speed limit, but you are peddling as fast as you can to maintain 20 mph.

Now then, cluster six trucks in a convoy, all tail gating each other at 20 mph as if they have a serious case of ARS (Anal Remora Syndrome) and you get a phalanx of trucks a quarter mile long for cars to pass. Our drivers were #####ing that cars were "cutting them off" by pulling into the tiny gap between trucks so they didn't get into a head on collision.

I stayed half a mile back of that cluster #### (per the permit), watching it all go down. Then I watched as the flashing lights of the police car zoomed by me and pulled all these idiots over.

If you run oversized and can maintain the speed limit, it doesn't matter. Folks of all stripes get scared of you and crawl through with their passes.

Run with PLENTY of room between you. It makes it far easier AND safer for faster cars and trucks to work their way around your slow ###.

Did that yesterday with my work squad. Then of course the business owner comes out and asks if we can get his son a job...

    “Uhhh yeah call the owner...”

No, sorry your 18 year old kid can’t work here for summer vacation...

Sort of. I gave him some firm patriarchal advice much in the same way my Dad would’ve give me. The windows were already rolled down so I yelled out the window “GET THE #### OUT OF THE WAY DOPEY!!!! “ as he stood in front of me and I couldn’t pull forward as he waved his skinny little arms like he was a windmill or having a #### seizure.
