Shopping for a flatbed trailer

Buy it cheap. My father bought this one about 2000, then I bought it from him. It has been rebuilt and painted numerous times. Not saying a old trailer is a good idea, but it's possible to find a nice older trailer.

 

A 3 yearold trailer probably needs rebushed. In 19 years I have lost count how many times I have rebuilt this trailer. It's the one in my avatar. Rust is my biggest concern. Suspension can be replaced easy. I am considering up grading soon. Maybe.

 

But matter of the fact, a old trailer dont have much value. 8 michelins on aluminum rims are worth more than the trailer.

 

Yes, Fruehauf. Your not gonna find a TransCraft that old old in good shape anywhere.

 

This may not be popular, but I say if your gonna make a payment on one go new or a few years old. If you wanna go old and cheap, pay cash.

 

I would look for something along the line of a used gypsum express or some company similar to that.
I would consider a fontaine revolution if it is in the price range.
