They just issued evacuation orders for my sandbar. Starting tomorrow for tourists, and Wednesday morning for residents.

They also said no swimming while the orders are in place. Last year in the storm we had a bunch of idiots swimming, in said ocean. Couple of them drowned, I guess this year they are hoping someone will listen.

More to come as events warrant.

Stay safe down there @FlaSwampRat and our other FL residents who are local.

Now to go finish what little prep work I have to do.

Sirscrapntruckalot - I think I'm going to need more whiskey...

    #### thing stopped.

Now we see if it reorganizes or spins out while deciding where to go.

I'm supposed to deliver to Hosford, FL just west of Tallahassee on Wednesday morning. It's not in the path of Dorian, but kind of creepy to be that close to such a monster storm.

I wonder what traffic conditions will be like. I'll be coming from Mississippi.

    It will be fine.

Creepy? Certainly but roll on. Im not worried about that area. There is no reason to be yet.

(There is a potential trop storm building in the gulf south of NOLA but eh...)

Depending on where you may run into localized flooding. Going to be lots of rain, which will spread the misery to others not in the path.

Plan for the worse, hope for the best.

Traffic on the other hand...no clue. Lots of people evacuating my sandbar go back to Va, and other northern states. With SC evacuating also, you could see a lot of tourists headed home, evacuees, etc. Toss in FL to the mix, an you got a nice mix of who the hell knows. ;)

Anyhow, stay safe. Either way weather is going to suck, an lots of idiots out.

Sirscrapntruckalot - Move to the beach they said, it'll be relaxing...no stress...

Increased in size today, stationary all day. First of several outer feederbands scraping Florida east to west 50+ gusts as a taste of whats coming.

Melbourne expects hurricane conditions until Thurs Dinner time. I see it as a minimal if nothing changes in Dorain.

The storm continues to rape Bermuda for lack of a better word, however its off the island and eh... not too bad.

Colors show she is bigger in windfield and reorganizing.

    Sitting still.

Battle is nigh for some persons not prepared this week in the SE USA coast but frankly after a certain point the waiting will too pass and we will be rid of Dorain by end of week.

I continue to keep a eye on it. But in absence of movement it's either spinning out or reorganizng and increasing in size. Because it has to spread the love it's weaker but still very dangerous.

If for some reason it took off at 15 mph straight for Jacksonville (Which is under mandatory evac for good sense...) then we can run around and shout. But eh....
