Did a move for BWT GROUP LLC out of Florida. Bad decision, got talked into paying storage to the tune of $525 on a Iaai car. Was going to a port for export. Was suppose to get a wire transfer before I deliver from the customer but that hasn’t happened. Customer isn’t responding and almost got stuck with a car on my trailer that I couldn’t get delivered. Dropped it off at the port so I can continue working and had bwt change payment terms to state they will pay me. Going after their bond, just filed yesterday so I’ll keep y’all updated on how it goes. If you can avoid dealing with them. Not worth the headache.

Hopefully your right. This is the first unit I’ve moved for them but it’s not all their fault. The customer flaked I guess. Still they are the broker and need to pay me, regardless if they get paid from the customer or not. I did my job, moved the car with no transporter caused damage and delivered on time.

I never pay for storage fees. That is the customer's responsibility and i let then know upfront. I then call the auction to verify before i start moving. Be careful with Nigerians also. They play alot of games especially if the car is going to the port. Sad to say i don't deal with them despite the fact that am from the same continent. All my deliveries are cods except Ready, carsArrive and montway direct deposit. I will take a car that pays $100 less as long as i get paid on delivery.

    Andystrans Thanks this.

I use to back haul all that Nigerian crap. Same old story with any and all of them. Storage on car at auction, dock receipt games, and last but not least payment issues. When I had a dually and wedge I would haul that crap. No way my brand new Pete is going near a forklift driver at copart or iaa. I had a forklift driver at iaa Clearwater set the weight of 60,000 pound machine on my wedge busting the leafs on the side I was getting loaded from. Everyone should stop hauling that crap. I will deadhead home 300 miles or more to avoid Nigerian BS.

Just thought I would give an update incase anyone is interested. After filing a claim against their trust, they finally reached out to me over a month later and we settled for partial payment ($800 of $1125), the trust company didn’t seems like they really wanted to pay as well. So I figured some money is better then nothing. The broker ended up paying me even though the customer never paid them, that’s why I went ahead and settled. Still I think the broker needs to screen their customers better and make sure they will pay or take big enough down payment. This order was suppose to be COD but after not getting paid I told the broker to change the terms to billing so I can get this car off my trailer. To my surprise they did and that’s what helped me get paid.
