i think the mere fact that you are starting on a treadmill is a great start. i hope its not just to satisfy the examiner and i pray you stick to it as i said you can find time to walk daily even if for 20 mins that at even a slow pace will get you a mile. u can do it afteryour day ends or get up earlier then trainer .. point is to stick to iti have faith in you and believe you can accomplish this goal good luck an stay in touch thank you and be safe

sorry to hear that guys ill keep my fingers crossed and keep you in my prayers. maybe some good will come from all this.. i will continue to post as much as i can as of rt now i am in trkstop in new jersey we just got our load here from lincoln NE . it was tcalled at terminal there.as soon as we dropped n hooked an empty we got a load offer to orlando fla.. so we jumped on it picked up new load and got to TA on 295 ext 2 got the last spot . i am tired .its not so much the work as i am by nature a very hard worker as much as it is getting your body used to working different hours different days . NO MATTER HOW TOUGH OR HOW HARD OF A WORKER YOU ARE TRUST ME THIS TAKES SOME GETTING USED TO... thats all im sayingdriving in jersey is always fun especially in a trk an trailor..i guess my advise for the day would be MAINTAIN YOUR TRAVELING DISTANCE... believe me they will cut you off and close that gap you just need to be patient and relax and drop back alittle farther each time.. its different then in your car .. just keep that rule in your mind and you will do fine im getting alot of practice with all aspects of operating / driving and enjoying it ..im gonna get some rest as im not looking forward to the long boring ride down 95 concrete heaven 1000 miles so i wont complain to much .. goodnite all be safe sorry i wasnt very informative lately..

    Novoids,
How long after you started training until you got paid? I am all set to go with Crete, but they said it would not be until end of July early August. I am washing dishes until then. But I am interested about how the pay works.
    Thanks.

you get on payroll as soon as you are hired which is as soon as all paperwork / workwell test / road test / and drug screen results are done and in to lincoln . for me i was at hotel by choice on sunday and for some reason drug results took longer then normal so it was thurs before i officially was hierd then off the following day with trainer mid morn approx . that differs with everyone. so with that said payday is a week behind. in other words they hold a week .if you r strapped for cash i believe ( dont quote me on it ... ask your recruiter ) you can use your comdata card for a cash advanceto survive on.. i may be wrong... that is why they suggest you bring 100 dollars but trust me you will want more.cause a short week at hotel then on road it goes quik . especially if you get a trainer who eats out and no fridge and such. so just be preparedi bought a 88 dollar cooler 12 v at walmart works ok till i get my own trk then ill invest in a good one . i buy basics for now bread coldcuts mustard drinks water fruit i buy slim fast shakes for now also makes a good brkfast meal cheap and easy snacks like pretzels or baked chips. u can do ramen noodles from walmart and heat at trk stops in microwave.. well hope ive helped gonna hit the sack thank you and be safe

I have a few questions about Crete... I'm looking to join the company one day.. Whats the miles like now since things are slow, the pay starting out, fuel stops, the tractors, and running area... I have spoken to other drivers they seem like a good company to go with..
