How much to pack?

You need one pair of sweat pants, one shirt with some stupid saying on it, one hat and flip flops.

Socks?

Maybe for winter but not now.

Bring also two old milk containers, preferably empty and a towel .... the towel doesn't have to be clean.

All of that you mentioned will just get in the way when you are trying to pee in the milk container while the 'trainer' is driving and may get wet.

Your pile of stuff looks reasonable.

 

Another good thing to have is plastic traveling soap bar case. If your got your own bars of soap you will need one. The truck stops have big jars/pumps of soap/shampoo combo thing. Some have those little bars of individual bars in the shower.

 

Sorry but I'd rather wear my underwear for a week than stand on the bathroom/shower floor

Ive been teaming with folks for a while now. Your bedding doesnt count that will be spread out on your bed.

I usually bring two pairs of jeans, maybe a 3rd as a back up. 2 button up shirts, 2 t-shirts. 1 pair of shorts, its hot right now most places. Like 20 pairs of socks, different lengths and a few wool pairs. Lots of under shorts. Dont be the guy that doesnt got no panties. Sleeping clothes if you need them to sleep well.

Work gloves.
You can get a rain outfit at walmart for 20.00 that takes up almost no room in your bag. You will almost never need it, but when you gotta get out in the middle of a monsoon, its a lifesaver.

I still stick with 1 duffle bag, and also a backpack for toiletries, soap, clothes I plan on changing into and a place to keep my dirty stuff so its not going back in with my clean stuff.
