Regarding aero vs long nose, I owned a 2014 389, now own a 2016 579; what is save in fuel, depending on fuel cost and miles ran, covers half to almost the full monthly payment, just in fuel savings, plus the 579 is lighter and because I run bulk I am able to realize increased revenue every load. Yes, it's a tighter engine compartment but overall I still come out ahead with the aero truck.

their site c;aims it is exclusively in the cascadia, does that mean the new cascadia has only detrout for rear end options?
It has pictures of western stars too, so I am assuming you can get them in any freightliner product.

It is on the option list for western star trucks, but .... try getting it serviced.

By the way I wish people would talk to dealers and see what they can order on a truck.

I’ll be honest I love the look of those long nose trucks. Absolutely bad ###. But I would think they’d be a PITA to back into places already tight for the short nose aero trucks.

I don't know the answer to that talk to a dealer and ask.

Detriots have earned their place in my heart, just need big horse to make the grade uphill at speed limit.

It's all the same tbh. Paccar are much easier to work on than say Daimler or Volvo, so definitely consider that if you plan to do your own maintenance. Volvo especially is a pain in the ###.

    Detroit is standard.

    Meritor is optional.

Just like the dt12 is standard.
    Manual is optional.

I posted the build to order sheet of what's standard and optional. And already talked to the dealer.
