I always stop completely before making any turn so I can judge distance. So I’m coming from a dead stop.

I’ll give an example I was doing around 5mph in a truck stop parking lot when a roll off truck hit his air horn. It scared the pee out of me so I STOPPED it set the camera off. My old one wouldn’t do anything unless it was 9mph in one second or less.

I have has issues like that with a few truck. They are fine when they are new, a month later and they are derating around moderate corners, usually from little bumps in the road.

Do you notice the truck starting to turn gutless in the hills, lag in the cruise control, slow throttle responce?

No but while reversing it kicks out of gear on the occasion and when parked it sets off the in gear alarm constantly. But they can’t see anything wrong
Or it goes into transmission fault and won’t do anything till I do a key cycle reset
Safety doesn’t let me talk when they call and road service doesn’t understand the gear selector issues.

If I hit s big pot hole while turning it records for like 5mins straight.
Sometimes it resets itself randomly sometimes I can’t get it to turn on (with manual button) but I dunno I’m sucking it up and taking it as it comes.

They leave me alone for the most part so I don’t quite wanna quit. Would like to do flatbed soon tho

Threads like this, sure makes me appreciate my old iron, and reminds me to keep my truck maintained and up to snuff. lol
I would go nuts if my ruck mashed the brakes on it's own, kicks out of gear, etc etc.
can you imagine if one of those systems would have been on one of them old broke in the middle ford cabinovers. it would have set the rollover protection off when you started climbing in. lol or one of the old K100s with torsion bar suspension. lol

Welp safety just called me the other day thought I’d update.
My turns are absolutely fine. The G force sensor IS sensitive because they are basically fishing.
They would rather see all the small stuff then miss something.
My safety score is basically an A.
While my camera has went off a few times since the last time as of last month I’m in the clear 100%
I’m breathing much easier now thank the good lord for watching out for my career.

Sometimes a bad bridge slams everything onto the drives and then pitches forward to hammer onto the structure at speed.

If I did not have everything packed away proper it will all go flying.

I like to see them camera that.
