In 1976 a drive I know went to sleep while he was unloading anhydrous ammonia in the small town I lived in. I forget the exact reason, but I think he over filled a tank and the pop off was letting it out, anyway, they had to evacuate half the town. lol. yep he was done with that outfit. lol

Oh, that's nasty shxx. I applied for a job, was in the mid-80s, tanker outfit, Anhydrous, gasoline, propane, wanted to start me at $7.50/hr, but a chance to make union wage in 6 months. Ok, I did a ride along for one day, he let me drive, it was the one and only load of gasoline I ever hauled, I said, "you're nuts", and never in my entire career did anything like that again. Never even got my HazMat, because I wanted no part of that.

when i drove for werner for a very short period of time, my son was in kindergarten at the time. i went to my son's open house with his teacher. she said his behavior had changed when i was out of that house....... that was enough for me. my kids will know their father. now i have two..... mathew 8 and noah 1-1/2. mathew has ridden in the truck with me a few times and loves it, i will eventually take him again but im nervous about it after i had that accident that was NOT my fault...... still it makes me grateful he was not with me that day. it wouldnt have been a good thing

Worst part of hauling fuel IMHO is the tiny gas stations, and filling wells positioned in such a way as to wind up having to back out onto a busy highway. That’s the part I want nothing to do with.

How’d you manage to dump 2 pallets over on a Maxon liftgate?

the first picture was at a jail and only one way to enter so had to sit on a incline when I sit it down to lower it the pallet wrap just gave out.
The second picture is a Starbucks pallet I got it on the ground went to the door to get it open and let them know I'm there on my way back the bottom boxs finally decided to cave in

Not sure how long you've done this, but pallets going over is just a regular part of the job. Unless you are hauling uniform size freight, it's bound to happen. I hauled a load of flashlight batteries once, you know, a million small boxes on a pallet, came off the rail, those boxes fanned out like a deck of cards. I was there a while.
