2006 pete 387 problems?

I drove an 06. The company I drove for had 3 of them. They only have 1 now because mine and another drivers burned up. I think it was something with batteries and starters, but I'm not a mechanic. I loved mine. I'd jump in another one tomorrow. Lots of room inside. I'm short and found it very comfortable to drive. It was a C15, I don't remember HP but it got where I needed just fine. Regardless, if you take care of the truck, it'll take care of you. It's being used you're gonna have maintenance costs. Good luck with the purchase!

 

TMC has 579 petes with cummins and paccar motors.

That truck is worth 14k-16k max with no maintenance records and a million plus miles. C15 Cat rebuild is very exspensive if you are not mechanically inclined. Good luck with your purchase.

 

Have you looked on truckpaper.com ?
They are practically giving these trucks away. That may or may not tell you something.

 

Rattles, wind noise, water leaks, hood latches were junk, battery box covers were junk, had to go thru the truck with my torx head once a week & tighten down all the screws holding the interior together. The ride wasn’t that great either. The 386’s had a much better ride quality.

 

Don’t forget door latches and hinges.
