Stuck in contract with the devil

I started to tell you about the one deal I know of, but you came off as such an ###### I decided #### you figure it out for yourself.

 

Sorry, I admit I am an *******, but this idea that companies are paid to train drivers is just a myth, not one thing I could find, including talking to CEOs and CFOs of the megas come up with anything like that.

Now that doesn't mean that there isn't tax breaks on training that could be taken but the overall idea that the government "pays" a company to train someone isn't true.

 

Likely where this rumor started was simply Unemployment. Most states Workforce does have programs to help pay for training to get a CDL. It's paying the training company though and not the trucking company.

For example I get unemployment to pay for my Swift school. On the surface it looks like the government is paying Swift Transportation to hire me. They aren't. They are paying Swift Driving Academy to get me a CDL, and since the contract is paid off I can go anywhere after that.

As for government money to hire a driver, well I would love to see proof myself. What I think most will find is simply government contracts to haul freight.

 

nope you're wrong, I know of one that pays 50%of the drivers salary for 6 months, it also pays the drivers a food and housing allowance.

 

I see I got lumped into something I didn’t say. If you had read the post, you would have seen that nowhere did I state that the government pays for your CDL school.

My statement went something like this... if you want to know where the money is coming from, it’s fairly easy to find if you look at a companies financials. This is for anything...

Now workforce as stated above is correct. Unless of course you worked in something related to trucking. You can’t be laid off from an industry and have the government pay your way in another job in the same industry. They won’t do it from what I’ve been told. Guys got laid off from KW and couldn’t go to CDL school (well they could, but Gov. isn’t going to help)

 

And yet you cannot answer the question of which government program is paying for hiring a driver.....

 

Okay..... this isn’t third grade, or even high school. We are all adults here. If you cannot read then maybe it’s in your best interest to not participate in the conversation.

I NEVER said the government paid for CDL’s. I’m an investor. I invest money in companies like Microsoft, Amazon, etc... I am entertaining the idea of becoming a driver... it’s always been a dream of mine.
Get it? Okay so....

I was passing my knowledge off to ANOTHER post who asked HOW you know which company is getting government money. If you READ my post, you too can figure out how.

I’m not interested in the core question of whether someone gets that money or not. You want the answer, YOU figure it out. I gave you one possible tool... use it!

If you want to know where a company puts its money... like a person asked here, which is, does the government GIVE money to companies for CDL training.

IF YOU COULD READ.... I merely pointed out that it can usually be found in the companies financial records. A THIRD GRADER could do it! Their are those that use tools and those that are... you obviously are the latter.

Would you prefer that in Braille too?
