Both of my windshield wipers have moved. The resting position of my passenger side wiper is now lower than the windshield. My driver side wiper is beginning to do the same. Could it be the wiper motor?

i suspect the wiper transmission is worn out. the wiper motor does have a "park" setting as well.
depending on the year of the truck, i'd say both may soon be needed.
but i'd go with the motor first, seems the "park" is more worn outPE_T Thanks this. -
I’m going to go ahead and replace the motor as you said. I found this YouTube video from Francisco Amaya, lucky me!
buddyd157 Thanks this. -
be sure it is an actual truck wiper motor, and not a car motor. truck wiper motors run for way longer times than the ordinary car wipers ever will...so as a result they are "heavy duty". even though they look small.
also, have a reachable magnet nearby.
you might have "oh jesus" clips that if they pop off suddenly, you're gonna be saying more than "oh jesus"
trucks as you know work harder than the ordinary cars ever will, so expect to switch out that transmission assembly as well some day. buy OEM parts.PE_T Thanks this. -
Before changing anything make sure the wiper arms are positioned correctly on the splined spindles. Just remove the arms and reposition them.
PE_T Thanks this. -
UPDATE—
@bjrc
I think you were right. I just took off the wiper arms and repositioned them. I have a feeling they will continue to lower as the spindles (?) are a little worn off. If they move again, maybe placing a thin layer of paper like from a napkin can help lock it in place. Or maybe a little bit of threadlocker (used on bolt threads) will do.Attached Files:

It's probably the linkage. The joints wear out. Then the wipers slap over the edge of the windshield in one direction, and under the windshield in the other. When I replaced mine the new linkage also came with an new motor. Together they were about $240 if I remember correctly. It's an easy job. I did it in the parking lot of a TA.
You have to remove the drip guard and the gasket behind it is usually rotted away. I just siliconed it good when I reinstalled it. Don't want water running down the front of the firewall.PE_T Thanks this. -
ANOTHER UPDATE—
Both my wipers have not moved again ever since I repositioned the wiper arm in 09/2019. So worn threads were the problem. -
I've had the washer fluid pump not work because of a short in the wiper motor.... Wiper motor worked fine, just no washer fluid.
How crazy is that. How, what, why?PE_T Thanks this.
