Yep we never want to go through insurance. So far everything we have had fixed ourselves. Same thing happened to us as your buddy at another location. Hit an employees parked car. I KBBed the car and it was worth 2k and the repair from 2 local shops was 2k (she wanted to use local to her and we are based out of town). She eventually found someone to do it for 800 out of their garage. Our driver was real happy she worked with us. Our drivers pay for damage that is completely their fault.

Happened to me. Been doing car hauling long enough, but never noticed how bad Wranglers brakes are. Cold engine idle ( about 1100 RPM, 4x4 Low ) was strong enough to overpower Jeep's brakes and pull me off the headrack. I was inside the Jeep, pushing brake pedal and cursing, neither helped to stop this POS. I got lucky, didn't break my neck. Damage on the Jeep was equal to zero dollars. Plastic bumper had a dent, but was easy to fix - it is hollow, can be inflated with air, dents easily pop out.
