Try Florida rock and tank lines. I dont think they have great equipment but, they'll have the hometime. Day cab's running east coast I'm in north Carolina. They are always looking for tanker drivers. Its bulk chemical. Hope you find a fit for your hometime.tscottme Thanks this.

I'd admit peeing by the truck. I've pulled tankers and you just can't leave the truck while loading/unloading, so sometimes we're stuck between a rock & a hard place.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
A&R logistics didn't like me not certain why I think they just made up some lame excuse to fire me. I was not peeing at all on the rail yardTexas_hwy_287 and x1Heavy Thank this.

Feeding fuel to thirsty engines. They would take around 3000 gallons if not much more. Sometimes the railroad will handbrake a number of cars, password the lead engine. Kill the radio fence and take certain tools away to leave them waiting for a while on the main.

One time I hauled racks of satellite dishes up out of MN. A easy dry van gig back when everyone and their mother ranted about antenna ears and bought crystal clear Dish etc.
One bad day in the rain (Which makes it worse...) In dock as usual chasing after the stupid paperwork people, hounded by dispatcher on satellite and in a fine form of stress. So what do I do? hop up on the stupid catwalk while being chased by a female who stopped short when she understood what it was for.
Let me tell you that was the absolute last time I was there. You can bet I was banned from there. Apologies? Forget it. Be better to be a Teufel and raise hell instead.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
Released huh ? I like that! ....the politically correct or NFL way of saying fired .

I do not know how much of it there is in the Atlanta area, but the biggest dairy in the US, used to be just south of there. Look into milk tankers, they are usually pretty easy to get on with, and depending on what you find can be home every night.
Lots of construction companies have their own pnuematic tankers, also something to look at, and I always made more than the average trucker driving for them.Texas_hwy_287 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
And keep eyes open for MAJOR repaving etc. A friend got himself a gig filling a water tanker and driving back and forth spilling water to keep dirt down for years it took to finish the place. (Atlanta Motor Speedway) He used what I taught him in 5 minutes and figured out the rest. No license in sight.
