Well after I had my wore out Michelin energys pulled and the yokes put on I lost about half a mpg on weekly averages....however that may have had something to do with a very very windy fall and a isx Cummins that was 6 mos away from an overhaul .
With my overhaul now broke in and running mostly 62 mph with no idling , usually 75 to 78 k for weight weekly average hangs from the low 7s to high 7s .
I see an 8 here and there but nothing long term .jamespmack and mhyn Thank this. -
I have been running them about 2 years. Slow wear, ride ok. Hold rocks like a mofo. Good winter traction in Ohio. -
I don't like tires that have big gaps in thread. This Yoko's thread has big gaps. I hope I will get good mpg because it's smartway certified.
bzinger Thanks this. -
Chinese and Japanese are not the same.
Are Honda and Toyota cars good or bad? -
Why take a chance on the steer tires.
You get what you pay for. -
I got a quote for 8 Falken drives the other day, $3500. It was my first quote though other than Michelins at north of $5k. I don't know which way I'm going. What was wrong with Falken drives?
Can you share what you paid for them and how you like them so far? I'm mostly in the Southeast, no harsh winters. I run midwest but not if I know the weather is coming. Tractor is a Volvo 780. -
I have paid $3200 CA tax included for set of 8 tires. I have not put many miles on them. The time will show they are good or not..86scotty Thanks this.

Here a set of Falkens costs about 2800 installed. The Japan made ones were bad, started to chop after 60k miles or so. The USA made ones actually are pretty good for the price, my another truck ran 100k with them without irregular wear.
I just got a set of Yoko 703zl for $3250, I feel it's a much better tire for extra few $$86scotty Thanks this.
