See if your company pays for that kind of stuff. I'm getting ready to get mine, and in offhandedly mentioning it to my DM he told me Swift would cover it and any endorsements I choose to pick up

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

TWIC cards are a racket if you ask me. If you have hazmat it practilly the same. Hold on let us squeeze more money out of you.

And alot of ports you gotta have Twic card and their port card!!!! Savannah, Jacksonville, Norfolk ports all come to mind

Also in addition to TWIC many ports still require their own port card, plus trucks need to be registered and have RFID tags. All that started in Calif and migrated across the country to the rest of the port operators. For Newark/Elizabeth ports you need to go get a SeaLink card and RFID tag for your truck. For Philly ports you (personally) need to be registered into their system plus TWIC, your company should do this for you.

yeah @austinmike , I kept my hazmat endorsement for years and years, hardly ever needing it on a flatbed. Finally, when they added a background check and the added expense, I gave up my hazmat...

Would not surprise me if that is on their agenda, for SAFETY of course, no other reason.
